A brief note for those who like to read such things:

This statement of Beckett’s is so often quoted as to become tiresome but it’s so often quoted because it’s true:

“All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.”

That said, the function of this Tumblr is not to post immaculate images of completed work (which often mask the difficulty of it’s execution) but to show the fits and starts and failures that constitute my own (and pretty much any) studio practice. I’m certainly not the first to say that the work of artwork really exists in this invigorating and frustrating process.
